If you have an app on the App Store that allows users to create an account, then by June 30, 2022, users must be able to easily delete their account from within the app as well.
As per Apple Guidelines, apps submitted to the App Store that support account creation must also let users initiate deletion of their account within the app.
Account Deletion Process
In-app account deletion refers to the process through which consumers can permanently remove their accounts and associated data from a particular application or platform. This feature empowers individuals by giving them greater control over their personal information.
For users, in-app account deletion provides a real sense of control. For brands and application developers, in-app account deletion promotes transparency and accountability.
When a user chooses to delete their account, it should trigger a series of actions (automated or manual) within the application's backend systems.
